Aims of the course

This hands-on, practical course helps participants understand and work through the procedures and paperwork involved when exporting. Correct documentation is vital and directly impacts your prospects of securing payment as well as getting through customs with minimal trouble.

Participants will learn to:

  • Understand all necessary and relevant documents needed for export
  • Understand Incoterms®2010
  • Adapt current export procedures

  • Introduction to exporting basics
  • Key export documents (commercial invoice, packing list, export licenses)
  • Understanding Incoterms®2010 (risk and responsibility of buyer and seller)
  • Classification of goods for export (EUR1, Free Trade Agreements)
  • Payments (overview over letter of credits, VAT, bid & performance bonds)
  • Action planning

What's included?

The majority of our courses are customised and delivered in house. Our standard fee for customised course delivery over the duration of a day is £950.00, which includes diagnostics, course customisation to ensure the course meets the specific needs of your organisation, materials and delivery to groups of up to 15 people. This equates to a training investment of £65.00 per head. Certificates are issued upon completion of the training for all participants.
