Aims of the course

Understanding Health and Safety is essential for all work environments both from a legal and ethical viewpoint. This one-day course will give participants a thorough understanding of the importance of protecting employees from risk as well as safeguarding their well-being.

  • Contribute to any health and safety management system
  • Appreciate the importance of risk assessment as a technique for accident and ill health prevention

  • Understand the hazard, risk and main causes of harm to workers (manual handling, hazardous substances, exposure to noise and vibration)
  • Recognise the importance of following systems, procedures and rules
  • Understand how individual action can reduce risks to health and safety
  • Appreciate how workplace equipment and task design affect health and safety

What's included?

The majority of our courses are customised and delivered in house. Our standard fee for customised course delivery over the duration of a day is £950.00, which includes diagnostics, course customisation to ensure the course meets the specific needs of your organisation, materials and delivery to groups of up to 15 people. This equates to a training investment of £65.00 per head. Certificates are issued upon completion of the training for all participants.
